TaitajaMästare 2015

TaitajaMästare is the largest annual vocational education event/ Trade school student competition in Finland. The purpose of the Taitaja competition is to promote vocational education, improve the cooperation between working life and vocational education, increase people’s awareness and appreciation of various occupations and professional skills, introduce career opportunities and encourage young people to improve their vocational skills.

This year it was held in the heart of Finland, Turku and attracted over 51.000 visitors in three days. The event involved people from 30 occupations whose vocational skills were put to the test and their skills were compared to those of the best Finns. Over 450 people under the age of 20 from various vocational fields competed in this event, including international participants from around the world coming from Estonia, Belarus, Russia, Germany, Netherlands, Italy, Austria, Brazil, Morocco and China.

Kärcher Finland supported this event and delivered machines for the competitions, as well as organised trainings for all the finalists. Students who are studying in vocation school but require Individual Education Plan have been sponsored by Kärcher Finland with an award TaitajaPLUS.


The winners of the competition (36 people) got the chance to attend and participate in the World Skills competition in Sao Paolo, Brazil on the 11-16th of August 2015 (http://www.worldskillssaopaulo2015.com/en/).
